Is your VA business still on track?

We have reached June, the halfway point of the calendar year. While the sun might be out, many of us are only a few months into the new financial year. Regardless of which calendar you follow, now is the time to stop, look at the data, and ensure your VA business is actually heading where you want it to go.

Reviewing your progress is not just a paper exercise. It allows you to celebrate the wins and, more importantly, correct your course before you drift too far off track. Here is my straightforward three step process to audit your business.

Step 1: Review the year so far

Be honest with yourself. What has worked and what has been a waste of your energy? Look at the accomplishments you have ticked off and identify where you have stalled.

Review the goals you set in January. Are they still relevant, or are you chasing targets that no longer fit your life? Look at your financial forecast. Are you hitting your numbers? If you are falling short, you need to decide now whether you are going to hustle harder or bring in expert help to bridge the gap.

Step 2: Acknowledge and accept

This review is an assessment, not a stick to beat yourself with. You are the boss, and the buck stops with you. Acknowledge what you have done and accept exactly where you are sitting right now. If you are happy with your progress, keep your foot on the accelerator. If you are not, accept it without the drama, decide to change, and move on.

Step 3: Adjust and move forward

Now you have the facts, make the necessary cuts. Scrap the goals that are no longer serving your vision and write down the ones that do. Break these down into non negotiable action steps.

Identify what you need to invest in to reach the next level. This might be better software to reclaim your time, specific training like the VA Momentum Course, or a mentor to provide the external perspective you lack.
