After making the decision of ending my job hunt and starting my own Virtual Assistant business, I knew that I didn’t want to do this alone given my zero experience of the self-employed and freelance world. To minimise the likelihood of making stupid and costly mistakes, I wanted to receive the guidance of someone who had been in the field for quite some time, whose clients had high success rates and so that’s where Amanda came in after having researched the approved VA trainers under the Society of Virtual Assistants.

One of my drivers for choosing Amanda as my VA trainer, coach and mentor is her honest, direct and no-nonsense approach, which is important to me because honesty is one of my values – I don’t like sugarcoating as I need to know exactly what I am letting myself in for especially with taking a massive step of becoming a business owner. She is accessible and caring too – she really wants to see each client succeed with their business.

I signed up to her VA momentum course in June, and goodness me I have to say that it’s been quite a journey – I’ve learnt so much in the space of 3 months. Everything that one needs to know with regards to setting up their own VA business is covered in the modules. There is the Facebook group where I can just pop in and ask a question – consisting of a friendly and supportive bunch of VAs from the same training academy at different stages of their VA journey, where there is also the weekly accountability – it’s such a great feeling for us to be in this together whilst working in a solitary role.

The learning doesn’t stop there though – continuous learning is encouraged with the membership portal and its’ range of resources that can be referred to no matter where you are at with your business.

I highly recommend Amanda whether you are a new or experienced VA – if you listen to her advice and apply it then it will definitely put you and your business in good stead.
