2025 - UK VA AWARDS

The UK VA Awards is an annual celebration recognising outstanding Virtual Assistants in the United Kingdom.

Recognition・Excellence・Achievement・Celebration・Professionalism

The UK VA Awards 2025 will open for entries on 3rd February 2025. All submissions must be made online. You will be able to nominate a Virtual Assistant or self nominate.

The deadline for entries is 30th April 2025 at 5pm, and we must emphasise that there will be no extensions granted under any circumstances. We plan to announce our finalists in early July.

An independent panel of experts, comprising both industry insiders and external professionals, carefully evaluates each entry. It’s important to note that this is a credible business competition, not a popularity contest. There is no public voting involved.

Our finalists and winners are selected solely by this panel of business experts, based on the merits of the information provided in each entry.

We pride ourselves on maintaining an inclusive approach, welcoming nominations from VAs across the UK, regardless of their ability to attend the awards ceremony.

Importantly, we do not charge an entry fee, ensuring that the awards are accessible to all. This commitment to fairness and recognition of talent has made the UK VA Awards a respected benchmark of excellence in the virtual assistant community.

Make a note in your calendar to pop back to this page on 3 February 2025 to see the 2025 categories and complete an application form.

In the interim, if you have questions, please email me on Amanda@vact.co.uk.

FAQs about the Awards

How do I enter the awards?

Entries for 2025 will open 3 Feb 25.

Entries will be via an online form.  You will be able to be nominated or self nominate.

What are the key dates for entry:

Awards open for entry on  3 Feb 25.

Awards close for entry on 30 Apr 25 at 1700 hours BST.

Best Newcomer Category – business owner must have less than 18 months in business as at 31 Jul 25.

Sol0 VA – business owner must have been in business over 18 months as at 31 Jul 25.

Do I have to provide financial data to enter the awards:

No.  But this is a business competition, and we need to know all information about your business to enable the judges to make their decision. It’s important to answer all the questions as fully as possible. All information is in the strictest of confidence.  The judges are not looking to judge you based on your actual numbers as every business is different, but they are looking to see business growth and that you are profitable.

I am not a big business are these awards right for me to enter?

Yes, most certainly. These awards focus on ordinary individuals who have achieved amazing results for themselves, their business and their clients. These awards are not about who makes the most money, but people who have made a difference and who are great ambassadors for the industry.

Who judges the awards?

A panel of judges.  If the judge has knowledge of a candidate they have to declare this to the Chairman of the Awards Panel.

We are currently updating our panel of judges for 2023.

Do the public get to vote on these awards?

These awards are not a popularity contest and so no, the public does not vote on the winners.

We have an independent panel of both in- and out-of-industry experts who will review the award applications.

Do I have to attend the gala dinner to win an award?

If you are selected as a finalist, we would love to celebrate with you.

It really is pointless entering if you cannot make the final or have no plans to attend as many of the PR and marketing opportunities will come from the Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony.

Exact details of the Gala Dinner and Awards ceremony can be found on the Conference pages of this site.

Being part of our Gala Dinner and Awards Presentation is a great opportunity to get dressed up and enjoy a fabulous night.

All our finalists are worthy of recognition for their achievements, and it is hoped that you will be able to attend.

Can I enter if I am British but not based in the UK?

Unfortunately not in 2025.

Although we have an aspiration to open up the awards to British Virtual Assistants who are based outside of the UK, this is not the case for 2025.

Sorry, we aimed to have this for 2025 but have not yet been able to bottom out the details.

Currently you need to be a UK based business.
