The type of Virtual Assistant business you create starts here, and this module is probably the hardest, which is exactly why it comes first. Before we touch anything practical, we set the foundations: your vision, your values and your confidence. Get this right and everything that follows has something to stand on.
The unglamorous module, and the one that separates a business from a hobby. Legal status and structures, contracts, insurance, GDPR, finances, invoicing: getting these critical things clear early pays dividends for years, and getting them wrong gets discovered at the worst possible moment, usually by a client. By the end, your business stands on solid legal, financial and operational ground.
Many businesses sell to whoever chooses to buy from them, and then wonder why the work is patchy and the clients hard going. The far better way is to know exactly whose needs your services match, and take them to those people deliberately. This module matters for a simple reason: until we know who you serve, we cannot know who to market to.
Winning a client is one skill; keeping one happy is another, and it is the one that builds a business. This module trains the whole client relationship, from the first discovery call to the difficult conversation you hope never to have, with streamlined communication that will save you hours every single week.
A huge module, and it arrives now for a reason: with your foundations, pricing and ideal client already in place, your marketing has something real to say. Strip away the definitions and marketing is simply this: understanding what your clients and potential clients want, making them aware of what you provide, and showing them the benefit of it.
The module that looks past launch. Growing a VA business means learning to trust and delegate in exactly the way you tell your clients to, whether that is outsourcing tasks someone else does better or bringing in skills you do not have. We also cover working with a mentor, and yes, exit strategies, because a business worth staying for should also be worth something when you choose to leave.

We previously had a course only version – and so we are trialling whether it is a popular option.
Each main module will take you 10-15 hours depending on the level of granularity you decide to go into. But there will some people who spend a lot less time in one module and more time in another. However, you get unlimited access to the Modules and when they get updated you will get the updates.
VACT have partnered with several UK providers of legal templates – they are different and will suit different individuals. You will have a discussion with Amanda about which you would would like for your VA business and then they will be ordered and sent to you direct from either provider.
This means that should your contracts get updated within 12 months post purchase, you will receive the updates direct from the provider.
Yes, you can do the training while still working full-time (or even part-time). In fact, I do not recommend you giving up your employed role until the business is established and you are starting to secure clients.
Your training is delivered in our VA Training Academy.
The training is delivered through a mix of distance learning printable materials, online videos and audios. By the end of the course you will have created your own copy of the “The VA Knowledge.”
You are given training on the technical skills and knowledge to work virtually and while will help you to get started part-time or full-time. We don’t train you how to be a PA or an EA – that is assumed knowledge, although you do not have to have come from a PA or EA background to be a VA.
Deliberately, and it is one of the biggest differences between this course and most others. The VA Momentum Course is organised into six modules that build a solid, future-proof business before you go anywhere near client acquisition. The early modules do the foundations: who you are and what you want (vision, values, skills), then the structural essentials (pricing, legals, accounting, business planning). Only once those pillars are firmly in place do we move on to marketing and attracting clients.
Why that order? Because marketing an unready business just helps it fall over faster. A client attracted to a VA with no contract, guessed pricing and shaky confidence is a problem arriving early, not a win. Do it in this sequence and you enter the market with strong marketing and the professional confidence, systems and legal structure to support the clients it brings you, and to scale from there. If a course starts you on client attraction in week one, ask yourself what you would be attracting them to.
